What is the difference between External and Submersible Pumps?
Submersible pumps are placed directly into the resevoir. External pumps are meant to sit outside of the reservoir

you need to pump oxygen into your water. A well aerated nutrient solution is KEY
What does GPM stand for?
GPM stands for Gallons Per Minute. It refers to how much water or air the the pump will provide in 60 seconds. Every pump has a GPM rating - but these ratings can be slightly misleading - the actual GPM of a pump will vary depending on how high or far it is pumping.
