To keep things
healthy at the root zone, it is
important to maintain the proper
temperature of the nutrient solution.
Some growers are lucky and never
have a problem in this area. Others
find themsleves constantly battling
root rot. Best practice is to
keep your nutrient reservoir between
68 and 72 F to maximize root growth.
This encourages high Dissolved
Oxygen levels and the inhibition
of Pythium. 80 degrees and above
will bring on all sorts of nasty
diseases.
