CO2 ENRICHMENT

Carbon Dioxide, known as CO2 is a much needed resource for your plants’ development and overall growth. Plants use CO2 in their respiratory cycle, much like we depend on oxygen. Plants can absorb much more CO2 than is available at natural atmospheric pressure levels. In most outdoor environments, CO2 is available at 450 parts per million (ppm). Most plants can use anywhere from 1300 to 1800 ppm. This is roughly up to 4X the amount that is available outside. Through the use of a CO2 generator or a CO2 tank and regulator, you can give your plants these elevated levels of CO2. You will immediately notice a vast increase in plant growth, development and fruit/production. When using elevated levels of CO2, plant growth rates can increase by as much as 100 to 200%. The average increase is closer to 50%, which is still incredible!

A grow room can be enriched with CO2 using a CO2 regulator / emitter system and a CO2 tank, or through the use of a CO2 generator (such as the ones made by CAP, Green Air or Sentinel,) or even via fermentation using a product like CO2 Boost.To learn more, check out our Information Section

Automated CO2 control equipment usually controls venting actions as well as CO2 quickly pays for itself by providing a method of accurately controlling CO2 producing equipment. Some control options work by actually sensing the amount of CO2 in the room and functioning equipment according to actual ambient values. There are a few ways of hangling this......two digital timers, one for the vent fan and one for the CO2 regulator. The second way is through the use of a cycle timer such as the ART-DNE from CAP, the DRT-1 from Sentinel or the Cyclestat 4P from Green Aircoupled together with a temperature / humidity controller for example the AIR-3 from CAP, The CTDH-3 from Green Air or the EVC-2 from Sentinel. The third way is through the use of a monitor and controll device, such as the CTC-1,from Sentinel, CDMC-6 or the SPC-1 from Green Air or PPM2A and the PPM3 CAP.

For larger situations when a CO2 generator is employed, heat and humidity are even more of an issue.
