Hydroponics Grow Lights
Grow lights are the main source of light in any serious indoor garden. With the application of a grow light, hydroponic gardeners are no longer limited by the number of lumens in the growing environment. Hydroponics grow lights are the most efficient source of indoor lighting available today and these lamps produce 4-6 times as much light as an incandescent light of the same wattage. Not to mention grow lights last much longer than traditional bulbs. Hydroponics grow lights come in sizes from 100 to 1000 Watts.

Grow lights operate with a matched transformer, capacitate and lamp bulb. A reflective hood (painted white or plated with a highly reflective aluminum or brilliant chrome) sits around the bulb and reflects light. Air cooled reflectors allow for ducting to be attached and hot air can be vented away. This allows for cooling running temperatures and reduces risk of overheating your garden.
There are only two drawbacks to grow lights: the intense heat can cause major damage to your plants and requires you keep your plants properly hydrated. Proper watering and using a hydroponic system will overcome that barrier. The second drawback is hydroponic grow lights don’t cover the entire spectrum of light. These lights come close, but this is one place Mother Nature kicks butt as natural sunlight is still more full and vibrant than anything we’ve yet to manufacturer. For this reason, we offer Metal halide and high pressure sodium bulbs. These two types of bulb will cover the majority of the spectrum needed during various growth cycles.
