Hanna TDS Meters
To succeed with hydroponics, you must provide your plants everything they need in the right balance. Maintaining this balance is essential for optimum plant growth and yield. For this, you should monitor the levels of pH and total dissolved solids (TDS) of the nutrient solution you use with a Hanna TDS meter. Have you ever wondered what all these terms mean? pH is the scale of how acidic or alkaline (basic) a solution is. Organic matter and inorganic salts that have been dissolved in the nutrient solution are indicated by TDS. TDS Meter for the Testing of your Nutrient Sources
Check the TDS content of your system using a tool such as the Hanna Combo Industrial meter (HI98136) or the Hanna pH/TDS/EC/C Meter. Sometimes, it may be cumbersome to use different meters to test the pH and TDS. What you need is a combination product such as Hanna GroCheck Combo that allows you to check pH and TDS using a single unit.
Tips for using Hanna TDS Meters
Mineral deposits can affect the accuracy of your readings. Remember to calibrate your meters on a regular basis. Use a good pH storage solution to protect your electrodes and don’t forget the sensing membrane degrades with age and use.

Hanna Primo TDS Meter
The Primo TDS meter gives a digital readout on a clear LCD display and is ideal for water testing. The Primo pocket TDS meter gives a direct digital readout in mg/L (1mg/L is the same as 1ppm), on a clear LCD display and is ideal for water testing. The meter has a single button located on the top of the meter, which is pressed once to switch on and ready for use.Battery life is an impressive 200 hours, which is further enhanced by the automatic switch-off after 5 minutes of inactivity. To calibrate the meter, simply press and hold the button for a few seconds and the Primo will automatically enter calibration mode. Simply place the Primo sensor in the calibration solution and within seconds the meter will automatically recognise the value of the solution and self-calibrate – no further pressing of buttons required. Primo uses calibration solution with a value of 1382ppm/mg per L.
Hanna Waterproof TDS/PPM Meter

Hanna GroCheck Combo Meter
The Hanna GroCheck Combo Meter (981404N) continuously monitors and displays the pH and TDS values of a solution on dual LCD’s. This is one of our favorite meters. It allows you to measure both pH and TDS (EC) at the same time, while conveniently hanging on the wall above your nutrient. The two professional quality probes are continually submerged in solution so that they have a real-time readout, without preparation or having to wait. HI 981404N continuously monitors and displays the pH and TDS values of a solution on an easy to read set of dual LCD’s. The replaceable electrode on the probe allows for meter maintenance instead of meter replacement. The HI 1286 gel filled pH electrode is protected behind a waterproof sheath. Hanna pH/TDS/EC/C Meter
This Hanna Combo Industrial meter (HI-98136) features four meters in one! pH, EC, TDS, and Temp.This convenient meter allows you to measure pH, EC (conductivity) and TDS with just one instrument! The specially engineered HI 1285-6 probe is interchangeable and the pH electrode utilizes a cloth junction and gel electrolyte which are particularly suitable when used in fertilizer solutions. Calibration is reduced to one point in the pH mode, and one point in the EC/TDS mode. EC/TDS measurements are automatically compensated for changes in temperature. The meter has a Battery Error Prevention System (BEPS) which will not allow readings when the battery level is too low for accurate measurements. With all these features HI 9813-6 is an excellent addition to your growing tool chest.

i have had the blue, hanging on the wall Hanna Grocheck combo for YEARS! It is super stable and reliable. I have tried other meters, but always come back to Hanna. I love being able to tell my readings at a glance, without having to bend over my reservoir.
