These are not air or liquid cooled reflectors...but they diffuse light very well and most pro setups are totally sealed off rooms with AC and CO2. Using multiple 600 watt bulbs and ballasts I think is the best way to go...I agree with the school of thought that the 600 bulbs throw out a better overall lumen saturation than the 1000s..
